Adams Museum
Deadwood’s Adams Museum is the oldest history museum in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Pioneer businessman W.E. Adams built the museum in 1930 as a memorial to his family and to honor the early pioneers that settled the Black Hills.

Dakota Discovery Museum
The Dakota Discovery Museum features four art galleries, including the Leland and Josephine Case Art Gallery, the Charles Hargens Studio and Gallery, the Oscar Howe Art Gallery and changing exhibits galleries. See original works by Harvey Dunn, Oscar Howe, Charles Hargens, James Earle Fraser, Gutzon Borglum and others. The changing exhibits gallery features one person and group shows of regional contemporary artists alternating with exhibits of historic interest.

National Music Museum/University of South Dakota
The Museum's renowned collections, which include more than 10,500 American, European, and non-Western instruments from all cultures and historical periods, are the most inclusive anywhere. They include many of the earliest, best preserved, and historically most important instruments known to survive.

South Dakota Art Museum
The Museum’s collection of over 6000 objects consists of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, textiles, sculptures, and Native American artifacts and art. The objects are a cultural reflection of the work of local, national, and international artists. The emphasis however, is on the work of artists from South Dakota and the surrounding region.
