Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum
The Larry Aldrich Museum opened in November 1964 as one of the country's first museums devoted exclusively to the exhibition of contemporary art. Currently operated by a staff of fourteen full-time and fifteen part-time employees, The Aldrich presents three major exhibitions and six to seven smaller exhibitions annually. This variety of thematic and solo exhibitions is complemented by a rich calendar of educational and cultural programming.

Florence Griswold Museum
The Museum has an extensive collection of American art and history, including the recently acquired Hartford Steam Boiler Collection. Florence Griswold opened her timeworn family home to artists searching for a quiet country retreat where they could rejuvenate their spirits and find sources of inspiration. The group was known as the Lyme Art Colony and Miss Florence's boardinghouse became the center of Impressionism in America.

John Slade Ely House
The John Slade Ely House is a non-profit art center located in the audubon arts district of New Haven. The Ely House program includes Three to Five curated and thematic group exhibitions of contemporary regional artists per year organized by the Curator and Gallery Committee. In addition The Ely House hosts juried and member exhibitions by fine arts organizations from New Haven and Connecticut. The John Slade Ely House presents an exhibition program which is free and open to the public ten months of the year.
